OK, Kansas Citians, It's time to panic! The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Kansas City and the surrounding areas. Snow is forming to our west, and Kansas City seems to be in the cross hairs of a formidable Snow event. Up to 9" can be expected in parts of the area, but 6-7 is likely for most of the metro. The consensus of reports seems to put heavier snowfall amounts to the northern part of the area. Snow storms are somewhat hard to predict, so really only time will tell. With the storm beginning right before the evening rush and continuing through the morning rush on Thursday, commuters need to be prepared for the chaos that ensues with every snowfall in Kansas City. Also, make sure that you run to the grocery store - buy all the ice melt, bottled water (in my wife's case, Pelligrino), and canned goods you can fit in your vehicles and drive home and STAY THERE!
Hopefully you are not planning on watching anything on CBS tonight as Katie Horner will be enjoying the sound of her voice ad nausium. Actually, with the weak ass lineup CBS has on Wednesday's - Katie Horner prattling on about snowfall amounts in Maryville might be better.
