The best Mexican Food in Kansas City has moved to Lee's Summit. Fiesta Azteca opened it's doors at the new Lee's Summit location last night. Owner Andres Orozco provides the same outstanding food and friendly service that has made his restaurant a hit for seven years at a tiny location in Raytown. The new location is three times larger, in a much newer building and features actual restrooms (not a tiny closet with a toilet). Mr Wonderful had the pleasure of dining there last evening and it was delightful as usual.Fiesta Azteca offers all the traditional dishes and combinations that you would find in any Mexican restaurant, but where this place shines is the authentic Mexican menu. They offer steak, chicken breast or Carnitas (pork) in a variety of excellent presentations with tasty sauces. If you don't know what to order, Mr Orozco will be happy to order for you, as I have had him do a few times for me. Everything is excellent.
Fiesta Azteca is also known for their Margaritas, They are as big as your head, and really pack a punch. This is not your pre-made store bought mix, it's the real deal - bring a designated driver. They also have a giant burrito called the "El Azteca" - over six pounds of burrito, if you can eat it all, maybe you can be a TV star.
